Interviewing and Testing

For us to find the proper school for students, each new applicant must participate in a personal interview and complete an official English evaluation test (such as TOEFL, TOEFL Junior, ITEP Slate, and SLEP).

Blue Ribbon encourages all students to complete a detailed survey so our staff can understand the full expectations of each student and their parents in determining the ideal academic institution for them to attend.

School Application

The Blue Ribbon Association presents to the students our school recommendations and from there he/she will officially select the institution they will attend. Our staff prepares all required documents and will work with the student to complete the entire application.

Once the student has been accepted into their desired institution, the Blue Ribbon Association assists them in applying for a United States VISA. Our team helps the student complete all the required VISA documentation, and we even include interview preparation.

One-Week Orientation

The Blue Ribbon Association offers a week long orientation for all new students who arrive in the United States. This program will help international students adjust and prepare for the change that comes with being in a new country and culture.

The Blue Ribbon Association provides coverage for health and accidental insurance of up to $500,000. This serves as a safety net to protect each international student should any incident happen during their time studying abroad in the United States.

    Monthly Academic Report

    As students begin their academic careers in the United States, we want to reassure the parents of their child’s educational progress. The Blue Ribbon Association employs dedicated personnel that are in constant communication with schools in order to receive updates on student academic success. We create and deliver monthly reports to parents so they can closely monitor their child’s achievements in school.

  • English Training Program

    English training programs are offered at our partner schools. The teachers involved are all ESL-certified and are there to help students who may need intensive English training for their time of studying abroad in the United States.

    One-On-One Tutors

    The Blue Ribbon Association is proud to partner with local and online tutoring organizations which provide students with one-on-one, in person, or Skype™ tutoring sessions for students who need extra help and classes.

    We provide students with college consultation: beginning with school recommendations, gathering the appropriate and required materials, and assisting students with the actual college application process. Blue Ribbon offers guidance to graduating high school students in any way possible as they continue their educational journey.

Homestay Program

The Blue Ribbon Association provides its participating students with a comfortable and safe environment during their stay in the United States, it is one of our top priorities. We conduct intensive background checks on our host families to ensure complete quality and safety for students. Local Blue Ribbon coordinators are also within reach to help students and their host families throughout the study abroad duration.

MONTHLY REPORT

Monthly Report

The student’s living conditions are closely monitored throughout every month. Parents will receive monthly reports on their child’s status, which will allow them to be feel comforted knowing their child is safe.

BOARDING PROGRAM

Boarding Program

If a student wishes to attend a boarding school, the Blue Ribbon Association partners with numerous boarding schools around the United States that allow for international students to experience their education in a more residential environment.

24/7 SERVICE LINE

24/7 Service Line

Student coordinators are available 24/7 (twenty-four hours, seven days) to answer questions and assist students with any need Representatives are also available back in the students’ home country so that parents can be reach in case of an emergency.

College Acceptance Rate

Students participating in the Blue Ribbon program take pride in their academics and always strive for greatness. 98 percent of our students are accepted by United States universities and colleges after the completion of high school, and 53 percent of those students were accepted by institutions in the US Top 100 Universities by the US News and World Report.

SCHOLARSHIP PERCENTAGE

Scholarship Percentage

The Blue Ribbon Association knows the importance and need for financial aid, and we view student scholarships as a key to receiving an excellent and affordable education. 41 percent of our students receive scholarships with rewards averaging $7,350, and several students even received ‘full-ride’ scholarships to some of the top rated university in the country.

GPA & HONORS

GPA & Honors

Academic excellence is the first step in a successful educational experience abroad. 61 percent students in the Blue Ribbon Association program have graduated high school with an honors degree and an average Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.7. The top 25 percent of our students gained an outstanding GPA of 4.2.

SAT/ACT

SAT/ACT

SAT and ACT testing are requirements for most U.S. universities and colleges. Learning how to take each test and which one to take is an integral part of our student preparation. Students that receive coaching from the Blue Ribbon Association earn an average SAT score of 1904, and ACT score of 27.4. The top 25 percent of our students earn an average SAT score of 2183, and 32.1 on the ACT.

TOEFL

TOEFL

The TOEFL, or Test of English as a Foreign Language, is an application requirement for most universities and colleges – it is also one of the most respected and accepted tests in the country. Blue Ribbon’s students proudly score an average of 81 on the TOEFL, with our top 25 percent of students scoring an average of 96 on the test.
